What color wedding dress would work best?
I am getting married on August 31, 2008 and my bridesmaids dresses are truffle with orchid colored sashes and an orchid peekaboo skirt. I have always imagined myself getting married in a white wedding dress, but now I’m beginning to think that maybe ivory would look better since the bridesmaids dresses are truffle colored. What do you think? Do you think white would be nice as well or should I really go with ivory? Thank you for your advice!
I think Ivory woul go better with truffle, but you do need to see what goes best with your coloring too
really the only way to know which you want more is to try them on and see what color looks best on you.
i thought i wanted white till i tried mine on. it’s called candlelight. it’s just a hair off white and soooo pretty. it complements my skin better than the white did i think.
if ur worried about wearing all white how about adding some truffel in with it?
White will be fine. I think it will look beautiful.

My advice to you is to get try the dresses on with your bridesmaids next to you and that will be the only way you could really make sure which one goes best. I was in david’s bridal today and i wasn’t sure how which color i wanted for my bridesmaids and i put on my dress which is champagne and i was able to pick the perfect color dress for the bridesmaids.
I think ivory would be really pretty with the orchid color. Try some dresses on in ivory and see what you think. A lot of brides go with ivory because it looks better with their skintone. If you have your heart set on white and it looks great on you, then I would go with that.

Try it on in both colours and bring a bridesmaid and her dress to stand next to you… better safe then sorry! I think both would look good anyway.
because of the truffle color, i would go w/ ivory because you would need a slightly warmer white to go w/ the brown…but you only know for sure when you try both white and ivory on.
Well, ivory would photograph better, not to mention look better with the bridesmaids’ dresses. When you go to the bridal shop, try on both.

i think either would be okay… just one question though… why didnt you pick your dress first? I know wedding planning can be hard (I’m going through it myself) but I picked my dress before I even considered what my girls would wear.
