I bought a Wedding dress that has beads all over it. It had to be altered. The dress is beautiful and to clean it is very costly. It is not that it is dirty or anything like that. It needs to be brightened and freshened up. I am wanting to know how to clean and get rid of the seams where it was altered. Any help would be appreciated.

So I have been married for 4 years and I am needing to do something with my wedding dress to get it out of my way. But instead of just throwing it in the trash, I was wanting to make something I could use out of it and maybe take up less space and I will always have my wedding dress….just a little more compact! lol But what? I recently got engaged, and I’m just starting to formulate some wedding plans. I haven’t set the date yet but the wedding probably won’t be for at least a year or two. I’m thinking of saving money by renting a wedding dress, since I don’t want to have to own one.

Does anyone have any experience with this in the North Carolina area? I live near Greensboro, NC, but I’m willing to drive a bit. Anyone know how to find people who rent out wedding dresses?

We all wish that we could have ,000 to spend on a wedding dress but that’s certainly not the case for me. Plus ,000 for 6 hours just doesn’t seem worth it. I think the most I will spend on my wedding dress would be 00 and that’s pushing it. What about you?

How do I shorten the hem of my wedding dress?

My mother made my wedding dress because I wanted a red dress instead of a white one. I want to shorten it so I can wear it again, seeing as so much work went into making it. The problem is that there is a short train, so the hem isn’t all the same length, but I want to shorten it to one length. I have basic sewing skills and own a sewing machine and I’d like to do it myself. Is there an easy way to make sure the hem ends up all one length?

Is it ok to wear a wedding dress with a train or any wedding dress for that matter for a wedding vow renewal?

I’ve seen chinese, western, and indian traditional wedding dresses. The Indian dress is by far the heaviest/complicated (my friend got married with a 7kg veil covering her head and body, not including heavy gold jewelleries). I wonder what other traditional wedding dresses are complicated to wear/heavy with ornaments? The Japanese kimono wedding dress seems complicated to me as well, but I have never seen it in person.

I am going to start looking for a wedding dress soon. I am a large woman, 5′4 about 215 lbs. What style would look best on me? What type regular dress would look best for a woman my size? I would like to lose weight but I have other things to do before my wedding. Thanks in advance for your advice.
